The Palace of the Parliament (Romanian: Palatul Parlamentului) is the current official name of the massive, multi-purpose central building (in essence a palace) built by former Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. However, Romanians commonly refer to it as "the People's House" (Casa Poporului).
