Wiki
Palaeeudyptinae, the giant penguins, are an extinct subfamily of penguins known to have existed from the mid-Eocene into the late Oligocene and possibly into the Miocene. Some of its members, such as Anthropornis and Pachydyptes, are some of the largest penguin species ever known.
