The fourteenth entry in the mainline King of Fighters franchise, following SNK's return to console game development in 2015. It is the first game in the mainline series to feature fully rendered 3D graphics instead of 2D sprites. The game is also significant for introducing a whole slew of brand new characters to the roster alongside longstanding veterans. The game’s initial release was August 25th 2016 on PlayStation 4 and later ported to PC on June 15th and arcades on June 29th 2017.
