Ferdinand Emmanuel Edralin Marcos Jr. (September 11, 1917 - September 28, 1989) was the notorious President and dictator of the Philippines, well known for leading the Philippines under Martial Law from 1972 to 1981 while ruling as a dictator for over 20 years. He was toppled from power through the widely known and bloodless People Power Revolution, led by late eventual president Corazon "Cory" Aquino, the wife of his slain rival, Benigno Aquino Jr.
