Sonic Mania (ソニックマニア Sonikku Mania) is a side-scrolling platformer video game developed by Christian Whitehead, Headcannon and PagodaWest Games. It was published by Sega and released in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The game acts as a celebration of the Sonic series' 25th anniversary, and follows Sonic, Tails, Knuckles as they try to keep Dr. Eggman and the Hard Boiled Heavies from harnessing a mysterious new energy source, the Phantom Ruby. The story of the game
