A Japanese dairy and confectionery company, established by the stock transfer and reorganization from two independent companies, Meiji Seika (明治製菓, Meiji Confectionery) and Meiji Dairies (明治乳業). Initially, Meiji Seika was also a pharmaceutical company, but after the merger with Meiji Dairies, its confectionery business was taken over to Meiji Co., Ltd. while the pharmaceutical business was reorganized into Meiji Seika Pharma (Meiji Seikaファルマ).
