A professional basketball team based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 1946 as the Buffalo Bison, they've played in Milwaukee, and St. Louis before settling in Atlanta. The Hawks have played in four NBA Finals, winning one in 1958. Despite a long Championship drought, they have one of the most playoff appearances in the association.
